Todos os Dezembros, a Vila de Óbidos veste-se de luz, magia e fantasia. A Vila Natal de Óbidos transforma o centro histórico num reino encantado, repleto de espetáculos, oficinas, pistas de gelo, Casa do Pai Natal e outras atrações para todas as idades.. 

Since 2006, this annual event has celebrated the Christmas spirit and invited families and visitors to immerse themselves in an atmosphere of celebration, color and joy.

Dates & Tickets

The Óbidos Christmas Village in 2025 will take place from November 28, 2025 to January 4, 2026, transforming the village into an authentic magical Christmas setting for more than a month of enchanted celebrations.

General admission tickets cost approximately €10 for adults and €8 for children (ages 3 to 11). Special rates are available for groups and schools.

How to get there:

To travel from Villa’s Pomar do Moinho, in Usseira, to Óbidos, there are several options:

1. By Car

The fastest and most convenient way is by car. The journey is approximately 7 km and takes about 10 minutes.

Directions:

• Leave Usseira towards the N8.

• Follow the N8 towards Óbidos.

• When you arrive in Óbidos, you will find parking lots near the entrance to the town.

2. Transporte Público

• Bus: Regional buses connect Usseira to Óbidos, but schedules may be limited. Check availability in advance..

• Train: Óbidos has a train station, but additional transport from Usseira may be necessary as direct connections are scarce.

3. Táxi or Transportation Apps

A practical alternative is to take a taxi or use a ride-hailing service. The trip will be quick and comfortable, and reasonably priced given the short distance.

4. Walk or Bike

For those who enjoy outdoor activities, it's possible to walk or bike to Óbidos. The distance is short, and the road offers beautiful scenery. However, check the road conditions to ensure a safe trip.

✔ Tickets: Buy in advance through the official website of Vila Natal de Óbidos, as weekends tend to sell out quickly.

✔ Best time to visit: Go in the morning or late afternoon to avoid queues and enjoy the Christmas lights at dusk.

✔ Parking: Use the parking lots outside the walls — there is specific signage for event visitors.

✔ Clothing and comfort: Try the typical delicacies of the season, such as churros, roasted chestnuts, hot chocolate and the famous Ginjinha de Óbidos.

✔ Must-see activities: Don't miss Santa's House, the ice rink and the children's shows.
