• Saint Lucy's festivities — December 13

  One of Usseira's most unique traditions, this winter festival begins on the night of December 12th with a communal bonfire near the chapel. Locals and visitors gather for a traditional feast of grilled meats, sardines, bread, and wine—all offered free of charge as part of the celebration. The following day, Saint Lucy, protector of the eyes, is honored with a special mass and sermon celebrating her life and martyrdom.
