Ginja Mariquinhas is an artisanal, 100% natural sour cherry liqueur born from a family history deeply rooted in Portugal's West region.

Its roots trace back to Abílio Ferreira de Carvalho, the creator of the original *ginjinha* recipe in a tavern in the small village of Sanguinhal, in the municipality of Bombarral. The recipe remains true to tradition, preserving the authentic flavor that has spanned generations.

A bit of its history

• Licóbidos was founded in 1992 with the aim of professionalizing industrial and agricultural processes. The Mariquinhas brand was launched in 2011, inspired by the famous fado song "A Casa da Mariquinhas," immortalized by Amália Rodrigues.

• Today, the fourth generation of the family continues to preserve this tradition, producing Ginja Mariquinhas with the same dedication, authenticity, and respect for the original recipe.
